The Romans Road to salvation consists of a collection of 8 "Foundational Scriptures" in the Bible Book of Romans, that can be used to explain the good news of Salvation. It is a simple yet powerful method of explaining why everyone needs salvation, how God provided salvation, how everyone can receive salvation, and the results of receiving salvation. They can be used to minister salvation to one individual, or to a group of individuals at the same time. Those ministered to, should be encouraged to dedicate time to memorizing these scriptures for themselves personally, and also for the benefit of others, so that they can lead others to Salvation, when they have acquired more confidence.
THE ROMANS ROAD TO SALVATION
SCRIPTURE 1: (ROMANS 3:23) For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of GOD
EXPLANATION OF SCRIPTURE (ROMANS 3:23)
We have all sinned. We have all done things that are displeasing to God. There is no one who is innocent. Romans 3:10-18 gives a detailed picture of what sin looks like in our lives.
Rom 3:10 As it is written: "THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NO, NOT ONE;
Rom 3:11 THERE IS NONE WHO UNDERSTANDS; THERE IS NONE WHO SEEKS AFTER GOD.
Rom 3:12 THEY HAVE ALL TURNED ASIDE; THEY HAVE TOGETHER BECOME UNPROFITABLE; THERE IS NONE WHO DOES GOOD, NO, NOT ONE."
Rom 3:13 "THEIR THROAT IS AN OPEN TOMB; WITH THEIR TONGUES THEY HAVE PRACTICED DECEIT"; "THE POISON OF ASPS IS UNDER THEIR LIPS";
Rom 3:14 "WHOSE MOUTH IS FULL OF CURSING AND BITTERNESS."
Rom 3:15 "THEIR FEET ARE SWIFT TO SHED BLOOD;
Rom 3:16 DESTRUCTION AND MISERY ARE IN THEIR WAYS;
Rom 3:17 AND THE WAY OF PEACE THEY HAVE NOT KNOWN."
Rom 3:18 "THERE IS NO FEAR OF GOD BEFORE THEIR EYES."
SCRIPTURE 2: (Romans 6:23) "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
EXPLANATION OF SCRIPTURE
This scripture tells us about the consequences of sin
SCRIPTURE 3: (Romans 5:8) "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
EXPLANATION OF SCRIPTURE (ROMANS 5:8)
The punishment that we have earned for our sins is death. Not just physical death, but eternal death. Jesus Christ died for us, and His death was the price paid for our sins. His resurrection from the dead proves that God accepted His death as the payment for our sins.
SCRIPTURE 4: (Romans 10:9-10) "that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes that they are made righteous, and with the mouth they make their confession to salvation”
EXPLANATION OF SCRIPTURE (ROMANS 10: 9-10)
Because of Gods' great love for every human being that He created, He sent His beloved Son Jesus Christ as the "one and only ultimate sacrifice" to save them from eternal damnation, and to pay the price for their sins. Because of the magnitutde of God's sacrifice (His Son), He requires that every living, breathing human being believe that Jesus is His Son, that He died for their sins and rose from the dead, and that they sincerely accept Him as our personal Lord and Savior.
SCRIPTURE 5: (Romans 10:13) "for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
EXPLANATION OF SCRIPTURE (ROMANS 10:13)
Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sins and rescue us from the eternal wrath of God. Salvation, the forgiveness of sins, is available to anyone who will trust in Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
SCRIPTURE 6: (Romans 5:1) "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Through Jesus Christ we can have a relationship of peace with God.
SCRIPTURE 7: (Romans 8:1) "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." Because of Jesus" death on our behalf, we will be forgiven for our sins if we confess them and ask God for forgiveness. We have this precious promise from God
SCRIPTURE 8: (Romans 8:38-39) "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

SINNER'S PRAYER FOR SALVATION
I acknowledge that I am a sinner, and that I cannot save myself. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son, who died on the cross for my sins, and that You raised Him from the dead. Jesus, please come into my heart. I receive you as my personal Lord and Savior. I put my faith, belief, trust and hope in You alone. Take control of my life, and help me to fulfill the purpose that You created me for. I thank You God that I am now saved, and that You are now my Father, in Jesus name. Amen.
